From Pallet to Plate: a lettuce seed’s journey
Temporary pallet planters in the Outdoor Classroom were prepped during the first community work day (every second Sunday, come on by) and planted with lettuce seeds by each class. Students harvested, weighed and cleaned the lettuce, which was served (and devoured!) during the school’s 2018 Thanksgiving Lunch.
Kindness Corner Community Garden
On Friday, October 26, 2018, these happy Hollin Meadows Hornets gave our most public garden space a kick-start by setting up a three-bed Kindness Corner Community Garden in conjunction with the HMES PTA’s October Kindness Campaign!
